November may be here and cooler weather is approaching but we still have great selections of apples and winter squash, plus fall gardening supplies (winter rye seed, fertilizer, etc.) Plus we are still pressing our own cider and making cider donuts! Forget raking leaves…stop by the farm stand for eating or pie-baking apples, jams, jellies, honey, etc, etc. Have a great fall !
View hundreds of expertly carved jack-o-lanterns via tractor driven hayrides…Oct 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26.
Thurs and Sunday Dark to 9pm
Fri and Saturday Dark to 10pm
NOT haunted! Nice for kids and adults…
Apple picking is officially over! Thanks to everyone who came out this year! The Harvest Hoedown was a great success despite a rainy start on Saturday. WEEKENDS in October now brings pick your own pumpkins and day time “not too scary” hayrides for the kids. The farmstand is open 7 days a week with apples, cider, cider DONUTS (yum!), fall decorations and more. Also coming soon – our night time Jack-o-lantern hayride returns! (Dates to be posted soon).
Harvest Hoedown/Festival continues today, Monday Oct 13. Weather looks great. Live music, hayrides, pumpkin picking and more. We are doing apple picking BUT you must take the hayride to the orchard, varieties are limited in supply and might not be available when you arrive.
We are picking ONLY these varities:
Delicious, Granny Smith, Empire, Honey Crisp, Mutsu, Spy, Spencer, Russet.
This is likely the last weekend for apple picking so dont miss out. Thanks ~CNS
Due to the rain, Oct 11, festivities are canceled today. But tomorrow looks to be a great fall weather day. We will be open and our harvest hoedown will go on as planned. Apple picking will be available while supplies last. Also pumpkin picking, live music, pony rides and more. Be advised that due to the festivities, there is a small parking fee and a hayride purchase may be required to get to the orchard…but to help offset that, we’ve dropped the price of apple picking !! Hope to see you this weekend! ~CNS
Please note pick your own apples will be closed during the week and resume this weekend (subject to crop availability)!
Our annual Harvest Hoedown is coming up this Columbus Day Weekend too. We will have live music, pony rides, moonwalks, hayrides, pumpkin picking (hayride required) and apple picking (subject to crop availability, hayride may be required to access the orchard). Activities are from 10am to 4pm (apple picking and apple varieties subject to crop conditions). The farm-stand will be stocked with fresh pressed cider, cider donuts, apples, Halloween and fall decorations and more! Come help celebrate the harvest season!
We will be picking the following:
McIntosh (very limited supply and not guaranteed),
Cortland (very limited supply and not guaranteed),
Macoun (lots left!), Empire, Delicious (Red and Yellow), Northern Spy (a good Cortland replacement for pies), Spencer, Mutsu, Breaburn, Honeycrisp, and possibly others when the weekend arrives. Also, hayrides, pick your own pumpkins, our own cider, cider donuts (fresh made!), and other “stuff”…hope to see you this weekend !
This weekend, 9/27-28, we will be picking McIntosh (limited supply) Empire, Cortland, Macoun and Honeycrisp! If you’d like to avoid the weekend crowds, we are open for pick your own Wed, Thur and Fri 10am-4pm. Hard to believe October is almost here! Pumpkin picking is available (weekends only, hayride required) or find one at the farm stand anytime. We also have our own cider, cider donuts, peaches, garlic, and more. Check out the Fall and Halloween decorations too! Please note it may be very busy when you visit – please be patient and kindly follow signs and directions to help everyone have a pleasant outing. Thank you for supporting local agriculture!
Pick Your Own Apple varieties this weekend are McIntosh and Macoun!
Open weekends 9-4 and weekdays Wed – Fri 10-4. The weather will be very fall-like this weekend! Come out and pick, enjoy a hayride, try some cider donuts…mmmm – cider donuts…grab lunch from our farm kitchen…hope to see you!
Seems like summer has returned for a bit, but it is still time for pick your own apples! Thanks to everyone who came out for our opening on Labor Day weekend! We are now open for pick your own apples Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat, and Sundays. This weekend (9/6-7) we’ll be picking McIntosh apples. Macs are an old New England favorite with a nice flavor for eating and sauces. They are fine in pies too. Note that pick your own peaches and blueberries has ended (tho we still have peaches available in the farm store). Hope to see you soon.
