Unfortunately, the peach crop failed for the 2016 season throughout the Northeast. It’s called the “Valentine’s Day Massacre”! In February 2016, there was a weekend where we had a low temperature of minus 15 degrees. It killed all the buds of the stone fruit trees throughout the northeast, down to New Jersey.
Hopefully we’ll have a good crop next year!
Nothing beats a peach fresh off the tree. Normally, picking is in August and may continue into early September if the conditions are right. We have several varieties, including white and yellow.
